Bestops Oversize Tire Carrier # 61950-01 For Wrangler, 86-04

Offering the convenience a tailgate-mount with the big-tire capacity of a swing-away, the Bestop® Oversize Tire Carrier utilizes load-bearing mounting brackets which bolt to the strong sub-structure of your Jeep, while a second set of non-load-bearing brackets attach to the tailgate. These, along with a unique articulating mechanism, make the tailgate and the tire carrier open and close as a single unit and give it a hefty load rating of 200 pounds. The Bestop® Oversize Tire Carrier adjusts to accommodate up to 35" tires, while black powder-coat paint helps protect the heavy-duty tubular steel against corrosion. Some drilling is required.
